Once installed on a PC, PT Five can update itself automatically; this means that the users always have the very latest version of the software available.
For data updates in Push, PT Five uses Lightstreamer, a highly innovative, data streaming server, that provides the latest market data, delivered in Real-Time to the DeskTop for price tracking and order entry and management.
One of the determinant features of PT Five is the utilisation of push mode for the updating of all market data, thanks to the use of Lightstreamer technology for real-time data streaming.
What are the main features that turn PT Five into a powerful financial environment?
- Data streaming is based on the HTTP/HTTPS protocol, which it uses in a light and efficient manner to implement band control techniques, and which is able to cross any form of proxy and firewall. d è in grado di attraversare qualsiasi tipo di proxy e firewall.
- Only one connection is required in order to update any number of windows in push mode.
- It is possible to limit the band either at server level or at the level of each end user.
- The required bandwidth is optimised thanks to the use of adaptive filters. A rate of 10kbps is sufficient for streaming data to PT Five, while maintaining a high real-time level.
- The streamed data is filtered so as not to exceed the total band allocated to the channel and not to exceed the preset maximum field update frequency.
- Network congestion is identified automatically. Using adaptive mechanisms, Lightstreamer heuristically slows down or suspends the transfer of data until normal channel availability is restored. Once channel availability is restored, PT Five does not receive bursts of obsolete updates, but immediately starts reading the new data.
